Unit objectives

 

In line with the objectives for which the units of a special nature were established at Tanta University, the pest control unit aims to harness the human and material energies available at the college in the field of pest control and environmental protection to serve the community.
To achieve this goal, the unit relies on the distinguished scientific activities and capabilities of the faculty members and workers in the college’s Plant Protection Department.
First: The field of community service and environmental development:

• Control of rodents, snakes, crawling and flying insects in: (homes - companies - hospitals - hotels - clubs).
• Controlling wood pests (standing trees - manufactured wood).
• A house of expertise in the field of agricultural pest control.
• Combating medical, veterinary and plant mites.
• Termite control in and around Gharbia Governorate.
