Department of Horticulture

Aims of the Department

  • Continuous development of academic standards of General Division Program and horticulture curricula in the bylaw.
  • To prepare outstanding cadres of graduates capable of competing in local and regional markets.
  • To develop abilities and skills of human resources at the Faculty including faculty members, assistant staff and administrative and technical personnel.
  • To raise the level of scientific research quality and to affirm entity of the Department as a scientific research center.
  • To follow up graduates and to seek to increase their level through training courses and workshops.
  • To plan for preparation of unique scientific programs in the field of horticulture in the light of national standards of academic programs.
  • To cooperate with Faculty departments, other faculties and research centers in conducting joint research that serves community.
  • To support special units that offer experience and technical consultations related to growing horticultural crops in order to participate in solving agricultural problems in community while keeping the environment.
