Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud — President of Tanta University; Prof. Hatem Amin — Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud — Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; and Prof. Amgad El-Gammal — Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, hosted today, Tuesday, 2 December 2025, a seminar titled: “World University Rankings: Plans, Challenges, and Subject-Specific Rankings.”

   The seminar was delivered by Prof. Sayed Ahmed Kasb Mohamed — Professor of Mechanical Power Engineering and Energy at Cairo University, Member of the Egyptian Scientific Institute, Member of the Sector Committee for Computer, Information, and Engineering Studies at the Supreme Council of Universities, Manager of the International Rankings Unit at Cairo University, Director of the Renewable Energy Master’s Program (Egypt–Germany); and National Coordinator of ESTIEM for student exchange in technical training worldwide.

   The seminar was attended by academic staff members from the faculty and the university, assistant staff, researchers, postgraduate students, and Level 3 and Level 4 students of the faculty.
