At Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, and under the patronage of Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud – Faculty Dean, and Prof. Adel Helal – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and hosted by the Department of Horticulture chaired by Prof. Fahmy Abdel Rahman Sadeq, the public defense of the Master’s thesis submitted by the student Mohamed Shawky Mohamed El-Naggar, registered for the Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences (Horticulture – Fruit Crops), was held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Thesis Title:

“Response of ‘Crimson Seedless’ Grapevines Grown in Clay Soils under Warm Mediterranean Climate to Basal Leaf Removal and Foliar Spray with Methionine and Potassium Silicate”

‎ The committee discussed the thesis thoroughly with the student, who successfully answered all questions. The committee commended the distinguished content of the thesis and recommended awarding the student the Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences – specialization: Horticulture (Fruit Crops).

   The defense was attended by Prof. Fahmy Abdel Rahman Sadeq – Head of the Department of Horticulture; Assist. Prof. Amani Meira – Assist. Prof. of Fruit Crops at the Department; along with a number of academic staff members, teaching assistants, postgraduate students, and the student’s family.
