As part of its efforts to support innovation and entrepreneurship, the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, participated in judging projects submitted under the “Smart Agriculture and Food Security” track, one of the main tracks of Tanta University’s Professional Development, Innovation, and Internationalization Forum (TUI² FORUM 2026 – Business Tank).
The forum is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President; Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Students.
The forum attracted broad participation, with 42 innovative projects submitted by 137 male and female students across nine main tracks.
The following faculty members participated in judging the projects submitted under the “Smart Agriculture and Food Security” track:
Prof. Essam El-Baaly, Professor of Agricultural Extension, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Intellectual Property, Tanta University.
Prof. Mohamed Fattouh, Professor of Floriculture and Ornamental Plants, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University.
The judging process focused on evaluating the participating ideas and projects according to rigorous scientific criteria, including innovation, scientific and practical feasibility, societal impact, economic viability, and potential for development and sustainability.
