During the meeting of the Tanta University Council held today, chaired by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, and attended by Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, was honored in recognition of the faculty's attainment of institutional accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
The University President presented the Dean with a commemorative shield in recognition of this achievement, commending the dedicated efforts of the faculty's Quality Assurance team, faculty members, and administrative staff, whose commitment played a vital role in securing this distinguished academic accomplishment. He emphasized that this recognition marks the culmination of sustained and diligent efforts through which the faculty demonstrated its full readiness and compliance with the national quality standards and accreditation requirements. These efforts included the development of academic programs and curricula, the modernization of laboratories and infrastructure, the enhancement of student services, and the strengthening of research capacity, thereby contributing to the consolidation of the university's culture of excellence and reinforcing Tanta University's academic stature and competitiveness at both the national and regional levels.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Fouad Harras, former President of Tanta University; Prof. Abdel Hakim Abdel Khaleq, former President of Tanta University; the deans of the faculties; Counselor Khairy Emara, Legal Advisor to the University; and Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of the University.
