Public Defense of the Master’s Thesis Submitted by Researcher Ahmed Abdel Khaleq Abu Taleb Registered for the Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences

   At the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, and under the patronage of Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Amgad El-Gamal, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and hosted by the Department of Horticulture (Fruit), chaired by Prof. Fahmy Abdel Rahman Sadeq; the public defense of the master’s thesis submitted by researcher Ahmed Abdel Khaleq Abu Taleb — registered for the degree of Master of Agricultural Sciences in Horticulture (Fruit Specialization) — was held on Tuesday, 5 May 2026.

Thesis Title:

“Optimizing Banana Micropropagation Using Nano-Potassium”

The Supervision Committee comprised:

• Prof. Ahmed Attia El-Aidy — Emeritus Professor of Fruit Science, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University.

• Dr. Doaa Sabry Mahmoud — Lecturer of Fruit Science, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University.

The Judgment and Discussion Committee comprised:

• Prof. Ahmed Attia El-Aidy — Emeritus Professor of Fruit Science, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University (Representative of the Supervision Committee and Chairman).

• Prof. Essam Mostafa Abdel Qader — Professor of Tissue Culture, Horticulture Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center (External Examiner).

• Prof. Ahmed Fathy Abdel Khaleq — Professor of Fruit Science, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University (Internal Examiner).

   The committee thoroughly discussed the content of the thesis with the researcher, and he successfully responded to all questions with confidence. The committee commended the excellence of the thesis in both content and value and recommended awarding the researcher the Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences (Horticulture — Fruit Specialization).

   The defense was attended by Prof. Amgad El-Gamal, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, along with a distinguished group of faculty members, teaching assistants, and postgraduate students from the department and the faculty, in addition to the researcher’s family and colleagues.
