At the Faculty of Agriculture — Tanta University, under the patronage of Prof. Eissawy Qassem Mahmoud, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Amgad El-Gamal, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and hosted by the Department of Agricultural Engineering, chaired by Prof. Asaad Derbala, the public defense of the PhD dissertation submitted by the researcher Entissar Khalifa Gaballah Ahmed was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Dissertation Title:

Development of a Machine for Chemical Fertilization Equipped with a Control Unit

• Prof. Mohamed Ramadan Darwish — Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University; and Vice Dean at the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology, Samannoud Technological University (Main Supervisor)

• Prof. Safwat El-Hassanein El-Desouky El-Khawaga — Emeritus Chief Researcher at the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center

• Asst. Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim El-Daidamony — Assistant Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University

Judgment and Discussion Committee:

The Judgment and Discussion Committee comprised a distinguished panel of scholars:

• Prof. Mohamed Ramadan Darwish — Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University; and Vice Dean at the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology, Samannoud Technological University (Member of the Supervisory Committee)

• Prof. Ahmed Mohamed El-Sheikha — Professor of Agricultural Engineering (Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering) at the Faculty of Agriculture, Damietta University (External Examiner)

• Prof. Safwat El-Hassanein El-Desouky El-Khawaga — Emeritus Chief Researcher at the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center (Member of the Supervisory Committee)

   The committee thoroughly discussed the content of the dissertation with the researcher, and she successfully responded to all questions. The committee commended the excellence of the dissertation in both content and value and recommended awarding the degree of PhD in Agricultural Sciences (Agricultural Engineering).

   The defense was attended by faculty members, teaching assistants, postgraduate students of the department and the faculty, as well as the researcher’s family and friends.
