As part of the faculty’s commitment to advancing the educational process, enhancing students’ competencies, and preparing a generation capable of meeting labor market demands, Prof. Essawy Qassem, Faculty Dean, accompanied by Prof. Adel Helal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, conducted a field visit to the Faculty of Fish Resources — Suez University.
They were received by Prof. Mohamed Saber El-Sabbagh, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. El-Azzab Tahoun, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hesham Fawzy, Head of the Department of Fish Technology and Processing and Director of the Fish Processing Center; and Prof. Ahmed Abu El-Azm, Director of the Processing Unit at the faculty.
The visit addressed all avenues of potential cooperation with the Faculty of Fish Resources — Suez University, as well as the proposed plan to establish an educational center at the faculty to train students and graduates and create employment opportunities for distinguished graduates via an operational plan for the Food Industries Building at the Faculty of Agriculture – Tanta University.
The visit included a tour of the fishing nets laboratories, research laboratories, the fish processing unit, the food and water analysis laboratory, the aquaculture unit, the breeding unit, and the feed unit.
The delegation also reviewed several educational models of ships and rare fish species. The project was presented on-site, with a comprehensive explanation of its nature and components, including detailed clarification of all operational stages — from the initial fishing process to sorting, processing, and packaging of fish — in accordance with quality requirements in manufacturing.
At the conclusion of the visit, the dean expressed his sincere appreciation to the administration of the Faculty of Fish Resources — Suez University for their warm reception and generous hospitality.
