Two Scientific Lectures on Gene Banks at El-Gemiza Agricultural Research Station

    In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the administration of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, headed by Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Faculty Dean, and the El-Gemiza Agricultural Research Station, headed by Prof. Rabie Abdel Fattah El-Shafei, Director of the Station, and upon his kind invitation extended to researchers, faculty members, assistant staff, and interested participants, to attend two scientific lectures:

• The first lecture, entitled “Functions of Gene Banks,” will be delivered by Prof. Suleiman Abdel Maaboud Arab, Vice Director of the National Gene Bank for Extension and Training.

• The second lecture, entitled “The Role of Gene Banks in Light of Climate Change: Challenges and Opportunities,” will be delivered by Prof. Hossam Abdel Maksoud Sayed, Vice Director of the National Gene Bank for Research.

    These lectures are held under the patronage of Prof. Adel Abdel Azim, Head of the Agricultural Research Center, as part of the El-Gemiza Agricultural Research Station’s commitment to disseminating knowledge and enhancing scientific and professional standards. The event is organized in accordance with the directives of Prof. Hatem El-Hammadi, Head of the Central Administration of Agricultural Research and Experimental Stations, under the supervision of Prof. Rabie Abdel Fattah El-Shafei, Director of El-Gemiza Agricultural Research Station, and coordinated and followed up by Dr. Mohab Wagdy El-Shazly, Vice Director of the Station for Extension and Training.

The lectures will take place on Sunday, 21 December 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Agricultural Extension Hall of El-Gemiza Agricultural Research Station.
