“Mawadda Initiative” for the Academic Year 2025–2026

    In line with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and under the supervision of Prof. Sherif Gabr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and coordination of Prof. Rania Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed, Coordinator of the Mawadda Initiative at the faculty and Certified Trainer by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the first training sessions of the Mawadda Initiative for the academic year 2025–2026 were launched. The training focused on preserving the stability of the Egyptian family by reducing the rising rates of divorce, through raising students’ awareness of correct concepts and providing them with the essential knowledge and skills needed to create a successful family.

   The seminar included an explanation of the concept of marital life, a presentation of common family problems and ways to avoid them, as well as clarification of the criteria for choosing a husband from the wife’s side, and a wife from the husband’s side.

   In his speech, Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Faculty Dean, emphasized that this activity is considered a part of the Faculty of Agriculture’s role in shaping the character of students and society, by supporting national initiatives aimed at strengthening values of cohesion and creating a conscious generation aware of the responsibilities of family life and its role in the future of the nation.
