Holding the Defense of a Master’s Thesis at the Department of Horticulture (Flowers and Ornamental Plants) at Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University

     At Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, and under the patronage of Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Faculty Dean; Prof. Adel Helal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Sherif Gaber, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and hosted by the Department of Horticulture chaired by Prof. Fahmy Abdel Rahman Sadeq, the public defense of a Master’s thesis was held on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

   The thesis was submitted by the student Shaimaa Helmy Fadiel Ahmed, registered for the Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences (Horticulture – Flowers and Ornamental Plants).

Thesis Title:

“Alleviation of the Adverse Effects of Salinity on the Growth of Paspalum Turfgrass by Biofertilizer Treatment”

   The committee thoroughly discussed the thesis with the student, who successfully answered all the questions. The committee commended the distinguished content of the thesis and recommended awarding the student the Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences – specialization: Horticulture (Flowers and Ornamental Plants).

    The defense was attended by Prof. Mohamed El-Sayed Mohamed Ahmed, Professor of Vegetables at the Department and former Faculty Dean; Prof. Ahmed Fathy, Professor of Fruit Crops at the Department; along with several academic staff members, teaching assistants, postgraduate students, and the student’s family.
