At Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, and under the leadership of Prof. Essawy Qasem Mahmoud, Faculty Dean, the first seminar of "Our Environment is Our Life" program was held under the title "Carbon Footprint." The event was supervised by Prof. Sherif Gaber, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Adel Helal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The seminar aimed to raise environmental awareness among all academic staff members, highlighting the importance of preserving the environment and preventing harmful pollutants that negatively impact both present and future generations. The carbon footprint refers to the total greenhouse gases emitted through industrial, service, or personal activities.

Prof. Hanem Abdel Rahman El-Sheikh – Professor of Animal Nutrition and Carbon Footprint Expert.
Dr. Wafaa El-Serengawy – Manager of the Technical Office at the Environmental Affairs Agency in Gharbia Governorate.

The seminar was attended by Prof. Essam El-Beyali, Professor of Agricultural Extension at Faculty of Agriculture and Supervisor of the Awareness and Rural Environmental Risk Management Center at the Delta Regional Development Center, representing the faculty administration. Many academic staff members, assistant staff, and students also participated.
The event was organized by the Student Union and the "For Egypt Student Group”, with coordination by Dr. Hazem Mohamed Rabie and Dr. Hanaa Naseem.
