At the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, under the patronage of Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Amgad Abdel Ghaffar El-Gammal, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and hosted by the Department of Horticulture, chaired by Prof. Fahmy Abdel Rahman Sadek, the public defense of the master's thesis submitted by Researcher Mennatallah Ahmed El-Sayed Mady, Demonstrator at the Department of Horticulture (Fruit Science), and a candidate for the Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences at the Department of Horticulture, was held on Saturday, 25 July 2026.

Thesis Title:

Enhancing Cold Storage Tolerance and Postharvest Quality of 'Eureka' Lemon (Citrus limon L.) Fruits Using Eco-Friendly Treatments

   During the defense, the researcher delivered a presentation outlining the content of the thesis. The Judgement and Discussion Committee thoroughly discussed the research, and the candidate successfully addressed all questions raised. The Committee commended both the quality of the presentation and the scientific merit of the thesis and recommended awarding the researcher the Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences (Horticulture – Fruit Science). 

   The defense was attended by the heads of the academic departments, faculty members, teaching assistants, researchers, postgraduate students from the department and the faculty, as well as the researcher's family and friends.
