Launch of the First Session of the Training Program for the Agricultural Pesticide Applicators

   Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Tanta University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and following the approval granted by Prof. Hala Abu Youssef, Chair of the Agricultural Pesticides Committee at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, to organize the Training Program for the Agricultural Pesticide Applicators at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, the program is being held under the leadership of Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Adel Helal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

   The first session of the Training Program for the Agricultural Pesticide Applicators, affiliated with the Agricultural Pesticides Committee, was launched on Sunday, 26 July 2026, at the faculty. The program aims to qualify young graduates for the labor market while contributing to the achievement of sustainable agricultural development goals.

   The program is designed to prepare and train qualified specialists in the safe and professional application of agricultural pesticides in accordance with approved technical standards. It seeks to protect human and animal health as well as the agricultural environment, reduce the risks associated with the improper use and handling of pesticides, create new employment opportunities for youth, and support safe and sustainable agricultural practices.
