Prof. Amgad El-Gammal, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, for Postgraduate Studies and Research, visited the Second Exhibition of the Agricultural Research Center in Cairo, which was held from July 20 to 22 at the Agricultural Research Center (9 Gamaa Street, Giza).
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation. It was held on the sidelines of the First International Conference on Sustainable Development of Livestock, Poultry, and Fish Resources. The conference was organized under the patronage of the Agricultural Research Center.
During his visit, Prof. El-Gammal toured the exhibition's various pavilions, featuring the participation of approximately 75 local and international companies, in addition to several research institutes and laboratories affiliated with the Agricultural Research Center, as well as regional and international organizations. Exhibitors showcased the latest agricultural equipment, modern technologies, and production inputs.
Throughout the tour, he received detailed briefings from exhibitors and representatives of participating companies and research institutes on the latest technological advancements in the fields of agricultural, livestock, poultry, and fish production. The presentations also highlighted innovations related to organic farming, fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural mechanization, and farming machinery.
The Vice Dean affirmed the importance of the exhibition in strengthening the link between scientific research outcomes and market needs, noting that the Egyptian state places great emphasis on supporting innovation in the agricultural sector. He also stated that holding the exhibition alongside the international conference provides a valuable opportunity for researchers, experts, and investors to exchange expertise and gain insights into the latest global developments, thereby contributing to the advancement of agricultural production systems and enhancing their competitiveness.
