Agricultural Engineering Department

Aims of the Department

1. To provide an academic atmosphere so as to develop skills of teaching staff and their assistants in order to help them carry out their mission perfectly.
2. To develop methods of learning and continuous self-learning in academic curricula.
3. To teach students and train them in agricultural machinery and sources of power used in the field of agriculture.
4. To teach students and train them in methods of cadastral survey that help undertake cadastral survey of agricultural land and its applications.
5. Introduce students to engineering and mathematical foundations needed in the general division.
6. To offer consultation services to youth graduates and to farmers in the field of applications of agricultural engineering through the Department and the Agricultural Engineering Unit affiliated to Agricultural Research and Experiments Center.
7. To conduct master’s and PhD studies in agricultural sciences, “agricultural mechanization”.
8. To hold specialized scientific and educational symposiums in cooperation with local and international companies that work in the field of agricultural engineering and related sciences.
